Our Vision and Mission
Students traditionally underrepresented in STEM fields excel in the
K-12 grade engineer education pipeline and succeed in pursuing college degrees and careers in Engineering and Science.
The mission of the Engineer Factory is to increase the number of students from underrepresented populations (girls and students of color) that pursue higher education and careers in Engineering.
This will be accomplished through: hands-on, project-based learning opportunities; participation in engineering competitions; academic support; technical assistance for educators; exposure and linkages to the engineering industry; mentoring; strategic alliances and partnerships with engineering-related programs;
and by awarding scholarships to deserving students.
